Catching up...

Marty's vacations really throw me off. I didn't realize just how much until I posted about Ethan's glasses and then later realized that I never said anything about his appointment. I know somewhere in Ohio there is a relative of ours scratching their head.

On Saturday Ethan had his eye appointment. The doctor was GREAT! He laughed and laughed when my homeschooled child swore up and down that he didn't know what the letter was, so how could he be expected to tell anyone?! He also noticed that the letter was one that Ethan had no problem identifying just a minute before, so realized that it was Ethan's way of saying that he couldn't see the letter without actually having to admit that his eyes don't work right.

The "office ladies" (as Ethan called them) we just as GREAT! They calmed his fears. They helped him pick the best looking glasses, but made sure they were the most durable. When we went to pick them up today they took his picture to hang on the wall.

Christian and Alex have appointments in November.

The rest of the weekend we just hung around the house and got stuff done around here. On Monday we went to Marie's. Looked at a house just around the corner from her. Man we want that house. Of course, the boys want to live there. They wouldn't care if it had no roof... You can see the front of Marie's house from the back yard. To them it is just a bonus that it is a nice place.

Had a nice chat with Marie, too. Gave me a lot to think about.

Tomorrow is Lit Club so I need to head to bed. Have a great day!
